Street photography
One of my favourite books is ‘A Pattern Language’ by Christopher Alexander, Sara Ishikawa, and Murray Silverstein. It is a guide to designing, a language for building and planning. It describes the patterns for towns and neighbourhoods, houses, gardens, and rooms.
Coming from a design background, I appreciate how these patterns are narrated, and it is sheer fun to apply these when designing spaces. My photography is a part of my design process, and I use this narrative of patterns to express my compositions.
